Our Doings!

What have we been up to?

Live Shows

Derek & Orla have regular shows at John The Unicorn in Peckham and The Prince of Wales Feathers, Warren Street.  They regularly work the circuit with karaoke, bingo, quizzes and just straight up comedy shows, appearing at such places as The RVT, The Two Brewers & The Fountain on Queens among others.  They've hosted various nights, such as film previews to parties and have been judges for UK Drag Idol two years running!

They've also done private shows for birthdays, anniversaries and funerals and appeared as special guests and hosts at events for the Iris Prize Film Festival and at Wembley Park Pride.

Film

Both trained actors, Derek & Orla regularly appear on film!

Derek can be seen in the award winning  films Coast Road, on Amazon, & Sequins.  He also appears as an S&M Stockholm syndromed lackey for the Queen of Hearts in Yes Queen.

Orla was also in Sequins and appears out of drag as the lead in both The Human Factory and Land's End, as well as Prawn by Home & Away star Nicola Quilter.

Interweb

What can we say?  The King & Queen of the World Wide Web are here to stay!

Derek has his own online YouTube channel with Delight Productions, where he frequently live streams his DK Delight new writing and story telling events, they've had audiences for their special St Patrick's Day, Halloween and Christmas shows dialing in from the Eire, the US and Aus!

Orla frequently releases parody music videos on her YouTube channel, where she, ahem, sings her own lyrics!  She even got Amy to perform with her in their own version of Anything You Can Do!

And, of course, they have their own special YouTube channel, where you can view every episode of the award winning series Derek & Orla Do....  Both series one and two are available, with series three and four coming soon!

Amy has a YouTube channel with her sororal singing group, The Spallettes!  You'll be able to watch and listen as they sing some of their amazing harmonies with videos and at events, such as on the roof of The Riverside Theatre and with Mr Gary Barlow!

TV

They're all over your telebox!

When Derek was just a young whippersnapper he appeared in Irish sitcom Killinaskully, still repeating now, like that burrito you had last night! He has also been in the TV movie We Watch You Watch and controversial TV series Negotiations.

Orla was the first drag queen on Say Yes To The Dress, Lancashire, with Gok Wan, for TLC, and appeared on E4's Queen's of Clean - though as someone who's spare room needed a good seeing to, messy cow!  Out of drag, Orla could just be spotted on 90s magazine show Raw Soup, wearing questionable clothing, including a dodgy bandana!

They appeared together on 48 hours in Newcastle, for Buzz Feed, where Derek made Orla ride in a canoe down the Tyne at 9am on a freezing February morning and then destroyed everything in a locked room.  And they regularly get cast together in adverts, such as Jaguar, when the car beat Derek as Orla's best partner, Ladbroke's, when Derek compared Orla to a horse, and, most recently, Aer Lingus, where Derek, as always, was publicly embarrassed by Orla!
